Your photo cannot be more than 5MB in size. For best results, only upload photos that have a 3:2 aspect ratio (standard digit photo is 1080x720 at the 3:2 aspect ratio). Photos that do not conform to the 3:2 aspect ratio will be cropped from the center out and may not appear as show on this page.
You MAY NOT use this messaging service to send members SPAM. If Hansel reports this message as SPAM, restrictions to your account can be applied.
About Shout Outs
Each shout out subsciption you join may only send one (1) shout out notification per week and you may opt-out of each or all shout out subscriptions you join, at anytime.
How it works
Shout Out is a networking tool that allows Hansel to manage a notification subscription list. It is used to send out special announcements related to personal happenings and events like a birthday party, wedding reception, get together, house party, drum circle, etc.
Using shout out to send SPAM and/or advertise commercial products and/or services is stictly prohibited. This, however, does not include nonprofit or personal fund raising events. Neither does it include announcing the availability of handmade arts and crafts.
KindRideShare.net has a zero tolerance for the abuse of its systems and may take any protective action deemed necessary. Such action may include restricting access to the Shout Out dispatcher or permanently suspending the account.
Anyone can join a shout out list (membership at KindRideShare.net is not required)
Subscribers need only verify their email address and/or connective device to receive shout outs
No more than one (1) shout out per week, that is 140 characters or less, can be sent from a single list using Shout Out
Subscribers may opt-out at any time
KindRideShare.net does not own the data stored on its servers by respective users. Each user has full access to their information, to include any information recorded on their page by other users. When you join a shout out notification list your name, email address, and/or phone number is made available to the owner of the list.
The owner of the shout out you join has full control to manage their list as they see fit. This may include removing your subscription from their list and/or banning your email address and/or phone number from joining their list.
Individual shout out subscription lists are not saved in a central database. Each list is stored separately within the user's account and can only be accessed using the tools provided at KindRideShare.net.
My Traffic provides details related to visits to my page. It shows who among my parked commuters have recently visited, those who are not parked but happened to drive by, and other statistics related to the traffic through my page. It is useful for finding references when seriously considering a sharing arrangement.
Passengers are those who are parked on my page. They are the same as friends.
Drive-bys are commuters who drive past my page.
Potholes are the number of negative reviews I have received related to my reputation in a ride share. These are mostly based on opinion, not fact, and are open for discussion and debate to better explain tacky situations from all points of view.
Wrecks are the number of abuse reports I have received during a ride share. These are serious reports based on facts that can preclude my ability to participate in a ride share.
My Intersections is where it all happens. This is where folks can interact with me using internal messaging, web to SMS, chat, and online interactive notifications. It is the dashboard to my page.
Park me is the same as friending.
Mail me sends me a message directly from my page.
Chat me is my instant communicator while I am online.
Block me prevents me from peeping your page.
Anyone can chat me while I am online but only folks parked on my page can post or send me messages.
My Calendar shows what I have coming up, and past events. You can visit each date to view complete details, leave comments, and anyone can signup to receive a one-time notification when the date comes near.
My Scrapbook is where I share my adventures.
Drive-by Taggers are comments left on my page by the commuters and travelers I have parked in my lot. There are no like buttons, emojis, the ability to reply to comments in a thread (like at Facebook) or anything like that. Drive-by Taggers is simply a clean way of interacting with each other to build on our reputation, in the spirit of sharing transportation resources.
Subscription to KindRideShare.net
All communications sent from KindRideShare.net must have subscriber consent. SPAM is strictly prohibited.
To consent, KindRideShare.net sends a one-time notification to your email address and/or cellular device. Your subscription cannot begin without your expressed consent.
Once your subscription begins, you will have the option to opt-out at any time. You will also have the option to permanently block your email address and/or cellular number from ever being used at or by KindRideShare.net.
Applying Customizations using HTML/CSS3
Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is a markup language that determines how your comments will appear. It manages the colors, fonts, and layouts of your page elements, as well as allowing you to add effects or animations to your comments. KindRideShare.net allows its users to customize their pages and comments using CSS3 and standard HTML styling tags.
Under Shout Outs on your page, you will see a help icon. When someone clicks on the icon, a window opens with your photo and instructions concerning the Shout Out program. You can leave a comment next to your photo that explains what you are using Shout Outs for and what your subscribers can expect, or you can just leave it bank.
Managing Unused Services on your Page
Page Options allow you to show/hide certain sections on your page. It is useful when there is a service that you will not be using but which is taking up real-estate. Instead of allowing impertinent services to stick around, you can hide them using the options provided on this page.
Message to Taggers on your Page
Taggers are comments left on your page by those you have parked in one of your lots. You can define the theme and announce any rules you have for your Taggers using the space provided on this page.
Tag Line on Interstate 01
When you complete your profile, it automatically becomes available to other members through Interstate 01. This is basically a search engine where folks can cruise the People Guide to find others of like mind, meet new friends, locate those lost during their travels, and discover new adventures that tend to enrich our life.
Whenever your page appears in the search results, others will be able to read the description you give for yourself. A well written introduction will get more responses, so be thoughtful.
YouTube Video Player
Your YouTube video player can be used to play whatever you want from YouTube directly on your page without any of the nagging advertising that makes you wait to view the video. At the moment, you may only link to one (1) YouTube video.
This feature is not working yet. Please check back later.
After you learn your way around and get to know your page, you can hide all of the help icons using this option. Hiding help icons will also help speed up the downloading of your page. You can return here to change your settings whenever you need.
The Page Pimper is new and there is still a long way to go. For now, folks can set their background properties. More page customization options will become available as time passes.
There are three options available, at this time:
It is important to set a background color in the event you do not use an image or the image becomes broken for any reason. Setting the background color is pretty straight forward.
Background images are an excellent way to express your general mood. For now, folks can link to any image they please by entering its URL in the space provided. In the future, members will be able to upload their own images for storage in an archive they can manage and choose from.
The best way to find background images is to conduct a Google search. A good search term is, "background images for website."
When you find the image you want, you need to open the image location then cut and paste the URL into your page using the pimper.
Music is an excellent way of expressing our personality and demeanor. From its genre to tempo, music often reflects how we feel and gives hints into our worldview.
You can use your Youtube player to host any videos you please, providing they are being hosted on Youtube. However, unless your page is being used for instructional and/or informational purposes unrelated to your personality, which might violate my Terms and Conditions, I suggest you use your player to reflect your personality using music.
It might also be a good idea to use your Youtube Player to display homemade videos about yourself, experiences, and journeys.
