Welcome to Kind Ride Share ("Kind Ride Share," "KindRideShare.net," "I," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using our website, platform, or any related services (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Services.
Kind Ride Share is an online rideshare matching platform... We are not a rideshare business, we do not operate rides, supervise interactions, conduct background checks, or employ drivers.
Account Security: You must keep your account login secure.
Unauthorized Access: Notify us at support@kindrideshare.net if unauthorized access occurs.
Termination: We may terminate accounts without notice for violations or unsafe behavior.
Users may submit additional personal information for verification...
You retain ownership but grant us a license to use your content to operate the service.
We do not vet or verify users; all interactions are at your own risk.
We do not arrange rides, employ drivers, or verify vehicles or insurance.
Some features, such as the Passport, may be paid; core service is free.
Your use is governed by our Privacy Policy.
We strive to host all content on our localhost, with the exception of some essential services such as Leaflet and OpenStreetMaps. We may provide links to external websites. We are not responsible for external sites.
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available."
We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of the platform.
You agree to indemnify us from claims related to your use of the Services.
We may modify or discontinue the Services at any time and without notice.

These Terms are governed by Colorado law and use binding arbitration.
If any part is invalid, the rest remains in effect.

Additional Policies
Our Terms of Service include the following additional policies.
Do not share others' private information.
May result in suspension or account removal.
Choose well-lit, populated areas.
Ensure it matches the description.
Keep valuable items with you.
Discuss breaks, luggage, music, pets, etc.
Decline or leave a ride if something feels wrong.
The Kind Ride Share offers optional Commuter Passports to verify user identities. While not required, having a Commuter Passport significantly increases your chances of being matched with a ride more quickly.
Identity verification carries a cost. When a commuter requests a Commuter Passport, the fee for validating state IDs and driver's licenses is nonrefundable.
All payments are non-refundable.
Verification fees cover identity and security-related costs that cannot be reversed.
May result in bans or collection procedures.

90 days after deletion; 120 days for backups.

Kind Ride Share is an online rideshare matching service that allows users to post available rides or request rides. This platform is not a transportation company and do not operate or manage any rides. It provides a bulletin-board-style platform using the latest open source mapping technologies for users to connect, communicate, and coordinate travel independently.

Commuter Passport details are securely stored and encrypted. Only the user controls whether to share their Passport with others on the platform. It functions similarly to a "verified user" badge on other services.

All personal information stored on the Kind Ride Share servers is encrypted. Only registered platform members may view ride details, and only Passport participants may choose to share their verification data. No one else has access to this information unless the user chooses to share it.
Users are solely responsible for their own safety when coordinating or participating in rides. Kind Ride Share does not verify identities, driving history, or safety backgrounds. Users should take all reasonable steps to protect themselves and make informed decisions.
The platform assumes no liability for user interactions, rides, or outcomes of any arrangements made through the service.
When a user deletes their account, the following policies apply:
Kind Ride Share uses only essential cookies for login sessions, fraud prevention, and security. I do not use advertising cookies, behavioral tracking, or third-party analytics tools.
Kind Ride Share does not sell, rent, or disclose your personal information to any third parties. Information may only be disclosed if legally required, such as through a court order.

Founded in 2001, I'm bringing Kind Ride Share back and am now accepting signups for account creation. The ride share will not officially open for use until sometime in February of 2026. Account holders will receive email notification when the ride share opens.
